In 2013, he opened his first boutique and object design brand KOSKA in Marseille.
« We design, imagine and keep simple lines. We focus on the essentials, revealing the form via the detail that makes the design unique and timeless. We try to stay curious, naïve and intuitive. All our pieces are produced in France. »
It is as self-taught that Mickael Koska discovers and develops his passion for design and art in 2010.The basis of his work begins with recycling, recovery and assembly of parts from various origins. Each creation is unique in its past history and re interpretation. Very quickly, he refined his know-how by integrating a training in traditional and contemporary cabinetmaking at the Boulle school in Paris, an experience that allowed him to develop his skills and to assert himself as a craftsman and designer. Avant-garde, he combines the nobility of wood with the dynamism of modern materials in order to create contemporary pieces with timeless and original lines. Mickael is inspired by everyday life, architecture, cinema, the street, and the collective unconscious... He feeds on what surrounds him and reinterprets it to give birth to furniture , lighting, and unique pieces whitout code or convention. His works are aesthetic, contemporary and offer the opportunity to customize and energize a space. using French craftsmen, the search for new shapes and materials are the motives of this designer who loves noble materials such as marble, glass , wood and brass.
