Born in 1971, Zoé Vayssières lives and works in Shanghai and Paris. She graduated from ENSAD in 1996. After 15 years of artistic direction in the world of art and fashion, she moved to Shanghai. In China, she developed her work as a sculptor and learned bronze techniques. She works on memory and time. She collects everyday objects, witnesses of the passage of time, which she engraves or casts in bronze to make them timeless. Trained in art and typography, she is interested in words, quotations and forgotten names, which she inscribes in bronze. This association of texts and objects questions our collective memory. "The photographer photographs, I objectograph. I mold, reframe and render timeless through bronze. The choice of bronze is obvious, it crosses the centuries, it is a material which makes work of memory ". She also works on objects that express time, forms with folds and folds... folds symbolizing the folds of memory and in which she slips words, forgotten names of our memories. She regularly exhibits her work in France and abroad.
