"Amélie du Chalard is exporting her successful gallery concept to the USA: the French art lover has opened a New York branch. 

Gallery rooms furnished like a collector's private apartment. Amélie du Chalard has been shaking up the Parisian art scene with this concept since 2015. Her "Maison d'Art" in the 6th arrondissement presents modern art in an unusual way. Not intimidating and isolated on bare walls, but approachable in a friendly atmosphere. By appointment, clients are presented with a personalized exhibition that has been curated especially for them.

New art gallery in designer hotspot SoHo

The popular gallery owner is now exporting this successful concept to the United States. A second "Amélie, Maison d'Art" has opened in New York's SoHo district. It is located at 85-87 Mercer Street in a listed building from 1873 that was renovated by the Parisian architect duo Tess Walraven/Nike Vogrinec and Keith Burns from New York. "The house does not provide a typical gallery experience," says the owner. "It is a lively space that does not intimidate visitors, but serves as a source of inspiration."
